Technical Advisory Committee (TAC)

The Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) is responsible for reviewing planning studies, programs, and projects to make technical recommendations to the agency staff and Policy Committee. As an informal advisory group, there is no set membership but instead an extensive invitation list of engineers, planners, economic development professionals, safety & emergency management personnel, and other technical experts.

Policy Committee

The Policy Committee is the Madison County Council of Governments’ board of directors that oversees the metropolitan area’s continuous, comprehensive, and cooperative transportation planning process. The Policy Committee must approve all the region’s transportation projects for federal funding.

Citizen Advisory
Committee (CAC)

The Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC) is a group of residents, business owners, and other community representatives interested in guiding public involvement and keeping agency staff apprised of community concerns. In addition to providing direct input for on-going projects, the CAC represents a core network of contacts across the region to expand the agency's reach and public input efforts. As an informal advisory group, there is no set membership but instead an extensive invitation list that members of the public can be added to if interested.
